Cyber Security Attacks: Hands-On Approach

This course is designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of different types of cybersecurity attacks and the skills necessary to detect and defend against them. Students will learn about web attacks, denial of service (DoS) attacks, and network attacks, and gain hands-on experience in using various tools and techniques to launch and defend against these attacks.

The course will begin by introducing the different types of attacks and their motivations and will delve into the details of each type of attack. Students will learn about web attacks such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), and cross-site request forgery (CSRF), and will gain practical experience in launching these attacks against vulnerable web applications.

Next, the course will cover DoS attacks, including their various types such as SYN flood, UDP flood, and HTTP flood attacks. Students will learn about the different techniques used to launch these attacks and the tools that can be used to detect and prevent them.

Finally, the course will cover network attacks, including packet sniffing, spoofing, and man-in-the-middle attacks. Students will gain hands-on experience in launching these attacks in a controlled environment and will learn about different tools and techniques used to detect and prevent them.

Throughout the course, students will work on practical projects and labs designed to provide them with hands-on experience in launching and defending against different types of cybersecurity attacks. By the end of the course, students will have gained the knowledge and skills necessary to identify, prevent, and defend against these types of attacks in real-world scenarios.
