Thanks to the power of Node.js, JavaScript developers can now build fast and scalable network applications with ease. If you’re an experienced JavaScript developer or are just getting started with your web development career, this course will help you to quickly grasp the fundamentals of Node.js.

The course starts with the basics of Node and helps you to set up the development environment by installing Node.js and Visual Studio Code on your machine. After the set-up is complete, you’ll create a simple Node application to understand the in-built Node packages. As you progress, you’ll create REST APIs using Express, and learn how to develop a REST backend using the Mongoose package and the MongoDB database. Later, you’ll perform integration testing on your application using Mocha and Chai, dockerize your Node application, and secure your REST APIs using OAuth. After testing and securing your Node.js application, you’ll deploy it to AWS. Finally, you’ll create a React frontend for your application and implement a RESTful API using PostgreSQL.
