Communications management is the systematic planning, implementing, monitoring, and revision of all the channels of communication within an organization, and between organizations; it also includes the organization and distribution of new communication directives connected with an organization, network, or communications technology.

An aspect of communications management involves designing internal, developing corporate communication strategies, external communications directives, managing the flow of information, and including online communication.

As a manager, one must take a possibility approach to communicating with their employees and communicate on a personal level. It’s the manager’s responsibility to determine if their employee’s personality falls under the following: Reactors, Workaholics, Persists, Dreamers, Rebels, or Promoters.

A successful project manager must be a great communicator! Project Management Communication is a skill that is never fulfilled, can always be improved and is pivotal in being able to initiate and mobilize a project effectively.

A project team is usually a various group of people. Project teams are commonly thrust together to deliver a bespoke and unique benefit to an organization, something new and different to the day to day activities undertaken. Difference within a project team can be cultural, geographical, organizational, functional, age related, level of education and so on.
