Python Basics for Beginners: A Comprehensive Introduction to Coding

Goals

By the end of this unit, students will be able to: 

Understand Python syntax and semantics:

Understand basic Python programming concepts, including variables, data types, and functions.

Using basic syntax and structure, learn to write and run Python scripts

Work with data structures:

Properly store and manipulate internal Python data structures such as lists, tuples, dictionaries, and sets.

Perform normal operations and modifications on these data structures.

Control flow techniques to be used:

Use conditional statements (if, Elif, else) to make rule decisions.

Use loops (for and while) to iterate over data and create repeatable operations.

Create and implement roles:

Define and call functions and write modular reusable code.

Understand the scope of variables and the importance of function parameters and return values.

Develop problem-solving skills:

Use Python programming skills to solve real-world problems through practical exercises and projects.

Have logical thinking and debugging skills to solve problems and optimize code.

Be confident in planning:

Become confident in writing, testing, and debugging Python programs.

Prepare yourself for further study in advanced topics and specialized areas of Python development.

Prerequisites

This course is designed for absolute beginners, and no specific requirements are required for registration. However, the following skills and resources will enhance your learning experience:

Basic computer skills: Excellent computer skills, including operating systems, file management, and basic software applications.

Internet Access: A reliable Internet connection to access course materials, download software, and participate in online discussions.

Willingness to learn: Willingness to explore new ideas and commitment to regular coding practice.

Computer access: A personal computer (Windows, macOS, or Linux) on which you can install Python and the code editor.

The weird thing is, I do not remember learning Python when I was 12. You are supposed to make a good career choice early on in life.
It requires strong procedural as well as functional programming skills. We will try to present the terms used in Python both as procedures and data structures so that it becomes easier for you to grasp their meaning before using them in programs.
To get started with Python programming all that you need is enthusiasm and drive; there are no prior coding experience requirements!
