Course Description
Web Applications Workshop is a practical, beginner-friendly web development course that teaches you how to build modern webpages and interactive web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
You will begin by learning how the web works, and these foundations will help you understand how websites and web applications are delivered and accessed through a browser.
You will then learn HTML and discover how to structure webpage content using headings, paragraphs, hyperlinks, lists, tables, forms, multimedia, containers, and semantic HTML elements. You will develop a clear understanding of how HTML provides the structure and content of a webpage.
Next, you will work with CSS to control the appearance and layout of webpages. You will learn about CSS selectors, colors, spacing, borders, typography, positioning, and modern layout techniques including Flexbox and CSS Grid.
You will also learn the principles of responsive web design, using CSS techniques to create layouts that adapt to desktop, tablet, and mobile screen sizes.
The course then introduces JavaScript programming for web development. You will learn core programming concepts including variables, data types, operators, strings, conditions, loops, functions, objects, arrays, and events.
You will also learn how JavaScript works with the Document Object Model (DOM) to make webpages interactive. You will select HTML elements, read and change their content, respond to user actions, and dynamically update parts of a webpage using JavaScript.
Throughout the course, practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises show how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript work together to create complete webpages and interactive user interfaces. You will apply the techniques you learn while developing and improving practical web projects.
Web Applications Workshop is designed for beginners, students, aspiring web developers, and anyone who wants to learn frontend web development from the ground up.
Start building your web development skills with a practical introduction to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, and DOM programming.
